Henry IV pt 1 and 2 - extra performances, cinema and DVD
The Globe have extended the run of Henry IV part 1 and 2... and are also filming it in High Def to be released into the cinema and onto DVD... I do love this trend...it does mean so many more people will be able to see it. And for those of us that have seen it, we get to keep it. I wish more theatres would do it - so many wonderful productions are lost forever...

Keep it up, guys!

You are a lovely, wonderful person! Thank you so much; I love that image as I'm a bit of a sucker for him in glasses too (hence this picspam!). I just found an interview yesterday where he explains why he lost the glasses for the film -- you can watch it here. He's adorable as always!

Just downloading the video now; it's taking a while but I know it'll be worth it. :D

You're welcome. Thanks for the link - have just watched it through (I remember that press junket, but not this particular comment before). Still a great shame the glasses had to go - but then it was a great shame all his speeches in the middle got cut out in the shortened version of the play (but at least they are on the radio version). Mind you I also thought it was a shame they cut Rudge's little Pet Shop Boys triumph out of the stage play, too...it did make such sense for him to turn the tables on Hector like that in the end. Oh well. At least we have it immortalised in the radio version even if it was without Stephen Campbell Moore and the music cues...

Not going to Racing Demon myself....let us all know how it goes, won't you!

Yes; I do love the film as it is, but I would always like more Scripps, and Russell was a little bit underused.

I will! Don't worry, there will be a full report. :D
